HB0422

Limit the Governor's emergency powers - FAILED, NEEDS REVIVED.

This bill seeks to prevent the Tennessee Governor from declaring a state of emergency indefinitely like we saw during Covid. This bill requires that after a short period the Governor's emergency powers will require approval of the Tennessee's Legislature to continue. THIS BILL FAILED in the House Public Service Subcommittee and NEEDS TO BE REVIVED. Please call the committee members and ask that HB0422 be REVIVED.
